Dates You Should Remember for Bonfire Night in London

Bonfires and fireworks are aplenty every November across the country, and London has some of the most beautiful and spectacular fireworks displays in the country. These fireworks displays are an ideal outing for the entire family, so why not gather your friends and family together for a great evening out? If you want to enjoy one of these displays, we have a few locations in the heart of London for you to visit.

Blackheath, 4th November

This free display of fireworks attracts up to 100,000 people to the all-day celebration. From colourful fairground attractions and rides, to food and drink stalls that open at 5pm, there is plenty to do until the fireworks start at 8pm. You can also take a stroll through Blackheath Village for a bit of shopping.

 

Crystal Palace Park, 5th November

With tickets costing up to £9.50, the Crystal Palace Park fireworks include a miniature railway and a giant sphinx. The park is a kooky attraction and perfect for bonfire night, and all tickets must be bought online before the event. The gates open at 6pm allowing for the children’s musical display to start at 7pm, with the main show starting at 8.30pm. Crystal Palace Fireworks is supporting St Christopher’s Hospice, who have been providing palliative care since 1967.

Victoria Park, 5th November

You can enjoy another free event at Victoria Park run by the local council, with an expected crowd of up to 90,000 people. Food and drink will be available before the event starts at 7pm, so you can grab some hot and spicy mulled wine to  keep the chill at bay while waiting for the main event. The event is hosted by the Mayor of Tower Hamlets and you can expect an atmospheric soundtrack in the background.

Southwark Park, 5th November

Free for Southwark residents only, the fireworks display will charge a fee for entry. The fireworks will have music in the background, food and drink stalls, and a family funfair to ensure you all have as much fun as possible. The event’s 14th anniversary lasts until 8pm, with gates opening at 5pm and the last entry at 6.30pm. Having attracted more than 30,000 visitors in past years, the event could sell out quickly.
